Teacher Statement and Key Values

As a teacher, I choose to stay a bit of a rebel. My role is not to drown the students in complexity but to break it down, to make even the most tangled ideas graspable and alive. I stand firmly with my students, challenging traditions when needed, and turning learning into a bold, shared act of discovery.

Inspiration

For me, inspiration is the spark that drives both learning and growth. I find it in people, in stories, in nature, in leadership and management, and in the everyday challenges of life. As an educator, I believe that curiosity and the willingness to explore are at the heart of meaningful learning. Inspiration often requires courage: to try, to fail, to reflect, and to try again. In teaching and in life, I see mistakes not as setbacks but as stepping stones toward deeper understanding and development.

Internationality

We live in an interconnected world where cultures, ideas, and innovations flow across borders every day. I see internationality as an opportunity to learn, to share, and to build bridges between people and communities. My passion for languages and cultural understanding has taught me that true collaboration starts with empathy and curiosity. I aim to bring this global perspective to my work in education — fostering environments where diversity is celebrated, and where students and colleagues alike feel inspired to see the world from multiple viewpoints.

Intelligence

For me, intelligence is not just about knowledge but about applying insight in meaningful, constructive ways. As a teacher of communication, Finnish language, and psychology, I see intelligence as a combination of critical thinking, creativity, and continuous learning. I seek innovative methods to help people grow — whether it’s designing engaging courses, integrating technology and AI into learning, or finding new pedagogical strategies that help students connect theory with practice. Intelligence thrives in an environment where curiosity is encouraged and where every challenge is seen as an opportunity for progress.
