Bachelor of Arts (Finnish) 8/2004-10/2007
I studied at the University of Helsinki from 2004 to 2007, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Finnish language. The total scope of my studies was 180 ECTS credits. Below is a list of the courses included in my major in Finnish language as well as in the related study modules I completed in education and communication. In both education and communication, I completed the basic studies modules. I had already completed the basic studies in education alongside my earlier sports instructor studies, prior to beginning the courses that were part of my bachelor’s degree program.
In addition to the studies listed below, I completed a wide range of mandatory and elective courses, such as the compulsory introductory course in Estonian (4 ECTS credits) included in the Finnish language major, courses in speech and group communication (a total of 4 ECTS credits), and the required Swedish for public administration (oral and written skills, a total of 5 ECTS credits). As electives, I also took, among others, an introductory course in social psychology (4 ECTS credits).
